About this Course

Time to Think Workshop

The Time to Think workshop introduces participants to a powerful thinking methodology developed by Nancy Kline. The approach is based on the principle that the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first. Participants will learn how to create a Thinking Environment—a space where people can think clearly, independently, and creatively without interruption or judgment. Through practical exercises and structured conversations, the workshop equips participants with tools to improve listening, unlock deeper thinking, and foster more productive dialogue in leadership, team, and organisational settings.

Key Takeaways

  • Understand the principles of the Thinking Environment and why attention and listening are critical for high-quality thinking.

  • Learn the Ten Components that create the conditions for clear and independent thinking.

  • Practice the Thinking Session (R.I.S.E. model) to facilitate focused one-to-one thinking conversations.

  • Develop skills to ask incisive questions that remove limiting assumptions.

  • Strengthen leadership and coaching conversations by listening without interruption.

  • Discover how a Thinking Partnership can unlock creativity, insight, and better decision-making.

  • Explore ways to apply the approach in teams, meetings, and organisational leadership.

Space is limited. Only 30 participants can be accommodated.
