Mastering the Pedagogy of Financial Statements in Grade 11 Accounting

Course Synopsis:
This interactive online course is designed to empower Grade 11 Accounting educators with a deep understanding of the pedagogy behind teaching financial statements, as well as the crucial link between financial statements and financial indicators.

Through two dynamic live sessions (24 April & 8 May), teachers will engage with mirrored teaching methodologies that model effective classroom practice. The course will explore innovative, learner-centered strategies—including the integration of ICT tools—to help educators confidently unpack and teach complex financial statement concepts.

Participants will leave the course with practical approaches for enhancing learner understanding, strategies for linking financial concepts to real-world applications, and tools for fostering analytical thinking using financial indicators.
