Foundation Phase (Grades 1-3)
General Requirements:
This course is for Foundation Phase teachers (Grades 1-3) employed by the Western Cape Education Department. Participants must ensure that they: Download the MS Teams application, use a personal Gmail account, have a stable connectivity.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Demonstrate understanding of the knowledge and skills required to effectively teach number concept development and measurement in the Foundation Phase.
2. Develop and apply methodologies for teaching number concept development and measurement.
3. Translate knowledge into practice, using effective teaching strategies to enhance learners' understanding and mastery of mathematics.
